New Philip Fracassi limited edition. BEHOLD THE VOID now shipping.

Hello everybody!

I finally received in a large shipment of books. I know the last couple of months have been very light for Thunderstorm, so it is good to finally have some books in-stock and shipping. One of those books is Philip Fracassi’s BENEATH A PALE SKY in limited edition format which SOLD OUT as a pre-order last September. I will start shipping this title next week. It probably will take me a bit longer than usual but I plan on getting a jump start as early as possible.

This brings me to the second part of the good news. I also received in copies of Thunderstorm’s 2nd limited edition of Phil’s. So today, I am pleased to announce that BEHOLD THE VOID is also in-stock and shipping. If you ordered Pale Sky and also now order Void, I will match numbers. I am also discounting the shipping (half off) for the next 48 hours. I will try and mail them together. During the first 48 hours, only order Behold the Void if you already ordered Beneath a Pale Sky. I want to give those who bought the first book the first chance to order the second book.

Note: the lettered editions are still in production and I am not putting up the ordering link for the lettered of Behold the Void until it is closer to its release date. (It is unlikely the lettereds will ship together, however, the same rules will apply: buyers of the first lettered will get the first chance at the second and I will match letters).

Phil and I are also discussing more possibilities for early 2024, so now is the time to start collecting Philip Fracassi’s amazing books.

BEHOLD THE VOID
by Philip Fracassi

BEHOLD THE VOID is nine stories of terror that huddle in the dark space between cosmic horror and the modern weird, between old-school hard-edged horror of the 1980’s and the stylistic prose of today’s literary giants.

Revenge takes a monstrous form when a scorned lover acquires bizarre, telekinetic powers; a community swimming pool on a bright summer day becomes the setting for a ghastly nightmare of sacrifice and loss; a thief does bloody battle with a Yakuza for the soul of a horse god; a priest must solve the mystery of a century-old serial killer or risk the apocalypse; a newly-married couple discover that relationships-gone-bad can be poisonous, and deadly; a child is forced to make an ultimate choice between letting his parents die or living with the monsters they may become; and when a boy is trapped on a beach at low tide, he must face death in many forms – that of the rising water coming to consume him and the ghost of his dead mother, who wants him back.

ROAD OF BONES
by Christopher Golden

Siberia’s Kolyma Highway is 1200 miles of gravel-packed permafrost within driving distance of the Arctic Circle. A narrow path known as the Road of Bones, it is a massive graveyard for the former Soviet Union’s gulag prisoners. Hundreds of thousands of people worked to death and left where their bodies fell, consumed by the frozen elements and plowed beneath the road. Documentary producer Felix “Teig” Teigland is in Russia to drive the highway, envisioning a new series capturing Life and Death on the Road of Bones with a ride to the town of Akhust, “the coldest place on Earth,” collecting ghost stories and local legends along the way.

However, when Teig and his team reach their destination, they find an abandoned town, save one catatonic nine-year-old girl—and a pack of predatory wolves, faster and smarter than any wild animals should be. Pursued by the otherworldly beasts, Teig’s companions confront even more uncanny and inexplicable phenomena along the Road of Bones, as if the monsters of the ancient wilderness itself were haunting them. It is a harrowing journey that will push Teig to the edge of human endurance.
