Temp to Perm

“Never believe he isn’t there simply because you can’t see him.”

Sent by a temporary agency, Tristan arrives at a massive estate to apply for a position
as a personal assistant. To his surprise, he’s face-to-face with Asher Penn, a staple of gothic
horror cinema a generation before. Tristan is offered the job on the spot. In addition to a
generous salary, he is given room and board, as well as money for personal expenses.

Duties for the reclusive and eccentric entertainer begin as shopping for electronics and a
new wardrobe. Soon, Tristan is picking up strangers at odd hours and returning them to the
estate. He is told to leave them outside Asher’s bedroom and return to his own quarters.
Nothing more.

As seasons change, Tristan begins hiring staff to renovate the backyard into a
picturesque wonderland, which will be the setting for an extravagant summer event.

One that will take this temporary chapter in Tristan’s life and turn it into something very
different.

And very permanent.
